Who AM I – It’s the Eternal Question. The answer, reveals what it means to live as you really are.

Read this post and then see the video at the end of this post.

As the founder of Performance Lifestyle, Inc, a transformation education and training company that is illuminating the lifestyle all healthy, high achieving people know and live by, which just so happens to also be the second tier, integral stage of lifestyle, or what we refer to as evolutionary living; I would like to share with you some insight into what is the most important question any of us can ask. Who Am I?

The answer to that question is the lynch pin, to unleashing your full potential in the world.

As I, along with many others, have been developing the Performance Lifestyle idea and learning how to put it into practice over the past 25 years with a focus on entrepreneurs, driven business professionals and leaders in high growth organizations, (because they have the most demands on their time and energy) one thing has become abundantly clear:

Living a lifestyle that works for you, that supports you and what you are up to in the world (including the world itself) must originate from the authentic self, the big Self, or who you really are.

But who are you really?
This is the eternal question and in today’s postmodern world, this question is being answered. I don’t think any one person or group has the complete answer or has every detail spot on, as our descriptions of reality are never 100%. Plus, there are simply aspects of answering this question that require belief, meaning, we won’t know until we pass and that’s why the world mysticism has always been associated with any perspective on spirituality.

Note: Any inquiry on this subject is of a spiritual nature and with billions of people on the planet, all with differing views on spirituality, god, religion etc., take what fits and leave the rest, but by all means have an open mind. As my friends and teachers Jeff Carreira and Craig Hamilton state in Opening to the Infinite – Receptivity, means opening into full awareness. This is not a subject to simply understand intellectually. It’s one you have to experience directly to understand. So surrender your judgements for a bit and just listen and learn.

That said, there are several plausible ways to frame the answer to this “question of all questions;” and for the unknown elements, it’s perfectly fine to leave this up to your personal preference as to how you want to see it for the experience of life you want.

Nonetheless, some of today’s answers to this eternal question are quite compelling, and can improve our capacities to function and perform well in the world. With their help, particularly the one I am sharing in the video below (one of the few video’s I have ever scene on such a complex question) it’s astonishing how directly you can experience your true nature in the world and live as who you really are.

Recently, I was referred to this video produced by the Brahma Kumaris in india, from my wife Mariahna Suzan, who is from India. She shared it as we discussed this question Who Am I; a question we contemplate often.

The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organization acknowledges the intrinsic goodness of all people. We teach a practical method of meditation that helps individuals understand their inner strengths and values. A worldwide family of individuals from all walks of life, we are committed to spiritual growth and personal transformation, believing them essential in creating a peaceful and just world. Acknowledging the challenges of rapid global change, we nurture the wellbeing of the entire human family by promoting spiritual understanding, leadership with integrity and elevated actions towards a better world.

Brahma Kumaris is the largest spiritual organisation in the world led by women.

The reason I am posting the video is that it does such a good job answering and “illustrating” the question Who AM I? It will go a long way towards helping you live a spirit-driven, authentic life or as who you really are.
